By presenting this writ petition, prayer is made to assess the land of the petitioner which would facilitate the petitioner to pay premium in respect of the land. According to the learned advocate representing the petitioner in spite of making an application in the month of March, 2023 seeking steps to be taken for assessment of premium of land, till date nothing has been done.

Respondents are represented by learned advocate. 3.

In view of pendency of the application which was preferred in March, 2023, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Assistant Commissioner (Settlement), South Andaman to pass a reasoned order by deciding the application of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order after granting opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or her representative. The decision to be taken by the respondent No. 4 shall be communicated to the petitioner by two weeks thereafter.

Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocate appearing for the parties upon compliance of usual formalities.
