The petitioner's representation seeking regularization of the land occupied by the petitioner is pending consideration at the end of the Administration.

Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman District to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioner strictly in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

A spot enquiry, upon notice to the petitioner, shall be conducted to ascertain the genuinity of the claim of the petitioner.

A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
