According to the petitioners, if the appointment letter is issued during pendency of the original application, then, third party rights will accrue and the original application will be rendered infructuous.

Prayer has been made to pass an order of status quo to be maintained in the recruitment process.

We have considered the submissions made on behalf of both the parties. The private respondents are yet to enter appearance either before the Tribunal or before this Court. It appears that the matter has been fixed by the Tribunal on 14th September, 2023.

The Tribunal is requested to consider the prayer of the petitioners seeking interim relief on the said date.

It goes without saying that any steps taken, during the pendency of the original application, shall abide by the result of the same.

The learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to immediately communicate this order to the non-appearing respondents.

The official respondents are directed to file their reply before the Tribunal within the time as specified by the learned Tribunal. Advance copy of the reply may be served upon the learned advocate for the applicants i.e, the petitioners herein.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
