Petitioner in-person Mr. Shatadru Chakraborty ... for the Respondents September 29, 2023 (Manoj) Item No.14 Petitioner's innocuous prayer is that a direction be made upon the respondent authorities for consideration and disposal of his prayer vide representations dated (i) October 26, 2022; (ii) July 12, 2023; (iii) June 19, 2023; (iv) August 4, 2022; and (v) July 25, 2023.

The records reveal that the petitioner has time and again made prayer before the respondent authorities for repair of the dilapidated municipal road situated within the stretch from RC Chinna workshop to Vidhya Beauty Parlour/Hotel Golden Balloon, Diary Farm, Port Blair which is 200 meters in length.

The petitioner has submitted that the road is in a dilapidated condition causing serious inconvenience and risk for the commuters including himself, thereby causing infringement of his Constitutional right to life, as a regular

commuter over there. Thus he has sought for redress of his grievance, as above.

The respondent authorities are represented.

Le this writ petition be disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to dispose of the petitioner's prayer vide letters dated (i) October 26, 2022; (ii) July 12, 2023; (iii) June 19, 2023; (iv) August 4, 2022; and (v) July 25, 2023 and by taking necessary action in case the grievance of the writ petitioner is found to be substantive. Let the exercise as above, be done by the respondent authorities within a period of eight weeks from the date. The writ petition is disposed of.
