Mini ... for the petitioner Mr. V.D.Sivabalan ... for the respondents September 29, 2023 [SR] Item No.12 The only grievance raised in the instant writ petition is non-consideration of an application filed way back in the year 2021 for correction of the entry made in the Record of Rights. The said application has not been disposed of despite the notice was given and hearing took place. The authority cannot sit over the said application and keep the fate thereof undecided. It is a duty of the authorities to take up a prompt decision and pass a reasoned order, after the hearing is completed, in all respect. This Court directs the respondent no.2 to dispose of the said representation within three weeks from the date of communication of this order, in accordance with law. Nothing observed herein above shall have the persuasive effect on the merit of the said application which shall be decided independently.

With these observations, this writ petition is thus disposed of. No order as to costs.
