Pendency of the contempt petition before the Tribunal persuaded the petitioner to file this writ petition praying inter alia for early disposal of the original application. It appears that the contempt petition was filed in the month of December, 2019 for the alleged violation of the order passed by the Tribunal on 21st December, 2019.

We find from the record that in the last order the Tribunal has recorded its displeasure in the manner in which the alleged contemnor has proceeded and in not filing their initial compliance report.

The matter was adjourned before the next Circuit. We have been informed by Ms. Nag that the Circuit is now functioning.

In view thereof leave is given to the writ petitioner to mention the matter before the appropriate bench for early listing and disposal of the contempt petition.

In the event, the compliance report is not filed by the date fixed by the Tribunal, appropriate steps should be taken by the Tribunal in terms of the Contempt of Courts Act 1971 and no further indulgence should be shown to the alleged contemnor. The contempt petition should be disposed of within a period of one month from the date of the order being communicated to the Tribunal. 6.

The writ petition stands disposed of, however, there shall be no order as to costs.
