Mtrs. at Hathi Dera, Hut Bay Revenue village under Little Andaman Tehsil in South Andaman District of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The petitioner claims to be residing in the said property along with her family members by constructing a dwelling house. The petitioner claims to have submitted an application for supply of electricity before the Andaman & Nicobar Administration Electricity Department, a copy of such application has been annexed at Page 17 of the Writ Petition.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the Electricity Department of the A & N Administration has not taken any steps for supply of electricity pursuant to the application submitted by the petitioner.
The learned Advocate appearing for the Respondents submits that the petitioner has not submitted any application before the concerned authority.
On a query of the Court as to whether there is any evidence in support of the claim of the petitioner that such application has been submitted before the Respondent authority, the learned Advocate for the petitioner could not satisfy this Court in that regard. In view thereof WPA 1029 of 2023 is disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to submit the copy of the application which is annexed at Page 17 of the Writ Petition together with the annextures thereto along with a copy of this order before the Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Hut Bay, Little Andaman being the Respondent No.3 herein who shall upon receipt of the same consider such application and pass a reasoned order in accordance with the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of four weeks from the receipt of the copy of the documents as directed by this order and communicate the same.
