All the papers are before us. We find that we are in a position to dispose of the matter now. We are not at all minded to interfere with the subject selection process. But we do direct that the selection process be carried out in accordance with the observations made below We are of the view that the Andaman and Nicobar Administration ought to have complied with the order of the Central Administrative Tribunal dated 16th October, 2023 in OA/351/001389/2023/AN with MA/351/986/2023/AN. We are told that the hearing is fixed today.

We direct that after the hearing the Administration will take a reasoned decision on the issue as early as possible. It is also submitted that the next date for consideration of the interim prayers in the OA/1627/2023 is 3rd January, 2024. We direct the Administration to place the records including the decision arrived at after the hearing today before

the tribunal to enable it to consider the interim order, if any, in the matter.
