The writ petitions pertain to orders passed by the Court under the provisions of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971. The Supreme Court in the case of Life Insurance Corporation of India vs. Nandini J. Shah & Ors. (2018) 15 SCC 356, held that the Court exercising power under the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 is a Civil Court. Hence, place the writ petitions before the Court taking up Civil Court's matters.
