Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioners. 2.

The challenge in this petition is to an order dated 28th October, 2020 passed by the Land Acquisition Officer, whereby the compensation for the acquisition in terms of the award dated 12th November, 2018 was ordered to be disbursed to respondent Nos.1 and 2.

The Land Acquisition Officer, has repelled the objection to the disbursal of the compensation amount, observing that the petitioners have not got any relief in the civil suit instituted by the petitioners. An application for temporary injunction preferred by the petitioners in RCS/609/2017, was rejected by 1/2

17-WP15011-2025.DOC the Civil Court on 7th August, 2019. An appeal preferred thereagainst was also dismissed by the District Court. 4.

Pursuant to the aforesaid order the amount of compensation has also been disbursed to respondent Nos.1 and 2.

The petitioners claim thus hinges upon the outcome of RCS/609/2017.

Needless to clarify that, if the petitioners succeed in the said suit, the consequences would follow.

The petition stands disposed.
