In this petition, the petitioner is aggrieved by inaction on the part of the respondents with regard to illegal and unauthorised excavation of sand during the period of license and even after the expiry of period of license dated 09/06/2022 by respondent no.11. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner invited the attention of this Court to the order dated 26/10/2016 passed in Public Interest Litigation Stamp No. 18846 of 2016 and submitted that in pursuance of the directions contained in the aforesaid order, no inquiry has been conducted till today.

In view of the aforesaid submission, learned Additional Government Pleader prays for and is granted two weeks time to enable him to file affidavit-in-reply on record stating whether any inquiry has been held and if so, what is the outcome of the inquiry. 4.
