The Petitioner has an alternate efficacious remedy under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 to challenge the deletion of the petitioner's name in the revenue records by filing appropriate proceedings before the appellate authority.

In case an appeal is filed challenging the deletion before the
23-WP-1910-2026 appropriate authority, it is always open for the petitioner to make a request to expedite the proceedings. Considering the age of the petitioner, such a request can obviously be considered by the appellate authority on humanitarian considerations and in the facts and circumstances of this case.

Keeping all contentions open and with the liberty to file appropriate proceedings, both these petitions are disposed of. 5.
It is made clear that we have not made any observations on merits and on the questions of delay.
