Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The Petitioner complains about inaction on the part of the Ichalkaranji Municipal Corporation in executing its own demolition order dated 30th December 2021 concerning an illegal construction undertaken by the 4th Respondent. Learned counsel for the Petitioner points out that even earlier, the Petitioner had instituted a Petition before this Court and the Division Bench of this Court had directed the Corporation to take steps in accordance with law. After that, even the Commissioner, by his order dated 22nd June 2023 15th July 2024

28.WP.1564-24.DOCX had directed the concerned officials of the Corporation to take immediate action.

Still, the Petitioner complains that the unauthorised construction is not yet demolished.

Learned counsel for the Corporation states that the demolition order dated 30th December 2021 will be executed within four weeks from today i.e. on or before 12th August 2024 unless there is no legal impediment like injunction, stay etc. from the competent Court of law or authority.

This statement is accepted and the Writ Petition is disposed of. The Corporation must act consistent with its own statement and file a compliance report in this Court by 19th August 2024 by giving an advance copy to the learned counsel for the Petitioner.
