This petition was circulated by the learned counsel for the petitioners in the backdrop of the recent development. By a recent notice dated 23/02/2026, the Respondent No. 4 - Special Land Acquisition Officer has called upon the petitioners to remain present on 25/03/2026, in respect of proposed acquisition of lands belonging to the petitioner located in Survey No. 119/9/2/2.

It is brought to our notice that the contents of the table contained in the said notice partially take care of the grievances of the petitioners and the petitioners can raise all grievances on the said date of hearing fixed for 25/03/2026.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that if this Court grants liberty to the petitioners to raise all such grievances, as indicated in the writ petition, before the respondent - Special Land Acquisition Officer No. 14 Pune, when the aforementioned hearing is conducted on 25/03/2026, the writ petition itself can be disposed of. It is submitted that this Court may reserve liberty for the petitioners to file a fresh petition depending upon the result or the outcome of the hearing to be conducted by the respondentSpecial Land Acquisition Officer. 4.

Considering the issues raised in the present petition and the reliefs sought therein, we are of the opinion that the suggestion made on behalf of the petitioners can be accepted.

In view of the above, a copy of the notice dated 23/02/2026 issued by the Special Land Acquisition Officer No. 14 Pune along with a copy of a corrigendum dated 01/01/2025 issued by the respondent Collector are taken on record marked 'X' and 'Y' respectively. 6.

In light of the said documents taken on record, the writ petition is disposed of by leaving it open to the petitioners to raise the grievances raised in this petition before the Special Land Acquisition Officer No. 14 Pune on 25/03/2026 when the hearing is fixed. The said respondent shall take into consideration the grievances of the petitioners and decide them in accordance with law.

Liberty is reserved for the petitioners to approach this Court afresh in the event any grievances survive.
