In all these petitions, the learned Advocate for the Petitioners desires to amend the Petitions for taking up the issue of paltry amounts being paid to these teachers. For reference, he points out one order dated 24.10.2013, when the untrained teacher teaching at the primary level was offered Rs.15/- per hour, with the ceiling of Rs.2,000/- per month. For the trained teacher at the primary level, the offer was Rs.54/- per hour and ceiling was of Rs.2,999/-. For a higher secondary trained teacher, the amount offered is Rs.72/- per hour with a ceiling of Rs.4,999/- per month.

The learned AGP submits that this policy has been reviewed subsequently and now the offer is Rs.125/- for 60 minutes lecture on clock hour basis.

Considering the request, leave to amend the Petition is granted. Amendment to be carried out by 24.10.2024. Copy of the amended Petition to be served on the office of the Government Pleader. 4.
Let a composite affidavit-in-reply be field on the amended Writ Petition, on or before 16.11.2024, failing which these matters would be considered without the reply of the State. 5.
List these Petitions on 19.11.2024, in the fresh Admissions category.
