1) The limited grievance that is sought to be urged before this Court is that Respondent No.17-Society has charged compound rate of interest when the order passed by the Divisional Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Pune on 28 August 2013 contemplates charging of simple rate of interest. According to Mr. Dalvi, the learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner, the amount due and payable, after applying simple rate of interest and after deducting various amounts already recovered from the Petitioner is only Rs.1,28,880/-.

2) Petitioner to deposit amount of Rs.3,50,000/- in this Court within a period of 4 weeks.

Respondent No.17 shall be renumbered as 'Respondent No.3'. Amendment to be carried out forthwith. Issue notice to Respondent No.3 returnable on 7 May 2025. Learned AGP waives service of notice on behalf of Respondent Nos.1 and 2. 4) Till the next date of hearing, no coercive steps shall be taken for recovery of amount from the Petitioner. List the petition on 7 May 2025.
