By order dated 20 January 2023 the Writ Petition is filed by the Petitioner was disposed of directing the Respondent No. 2 to take decision on the Application made by the Petitioner for compassionate appointment on its own merit in accordance with law and policy preferably within a period of four months.

When the Petition came up on board on 1 April 2024, we had granted one more opportunity to the Respondent No. 2 to comply with the order. Learned Counsel for the Respondent No. 2 has placed on record a communication given to the Petitioner stating that the Application cannot be considered for the reasons stated therein. akn 1/2

Therefore, if the Petitioner is not satisfied with the disposal of the Application, the Petitioner will have to take substantive proceedings. 4.
