IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY

CIVIL APPELLATE JURISDICTION ARBITRATION PETITION NO. 8 OF 2024 M/s. Trimurthi Constructions

...Petitioner

Vs.

Greenscape Realtors

...Respondent

----------------- Mr. Aditya Joshi i/by Ketki Gadkari for the Petitioner. Mr. Prashant Darandale for the Respondent.

----------------- CORAM : ARIF S. DOCTOR, J.

DATE : 10TH SEPTEMBER, 2024 P.C.:- 1.

This is a Petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of the mandate of the Tribunal. The Respondent is consenting to the present application. I am informed that this is the first extension. Learned Counsel submit that the Arbitral Award is now ready and it is thus only for this purpose that the extension of time is sought for. 2.

Having heard Learned Counsel and also given the fact that all that remains is passing of the Arbitral Award and the fact that there is no opposition to the application, it is in the overwhelming interest of justice that the application be allowed. Hence, I deem it fit to allow the application in terms of prayer clause (a) which reads thus:- Shubham 1/2

2 903-ARP-8-2024.doc "(a) That this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to extend the mandate of the Ld. Arbitrator for a period of 6 months with effect from 30.11.2023." 3.

It is made clear that the extended period of six months shall commence from the date on which a copy of this order is uploaded. 4.

Petition is accordingly disposed of.
