The contention of the learned Counsel for the petitioner is that after having completed 12 years of service, the first pay scale of Junior Engineer was granted to the petitioner with effect from 12-08-1995 and the second benefit for the post of Sectional Engineer allegedly was granted on 27-04-2021 with effect from 12-08-2008. The case of the petitioner is, pursuant to the policy of the State Government reflected in the Government Resolution dated 01-04-2010, the next benefit which needs to be extended to the petitioner is that of the post of Deputy Engineer which is not granted till this date inspite of same being over due. 3.

In view thereof, issue notice to the respondents, returnable on 20-02-2024.
