Learned counsel for the respondent submits that he will deposit Rs. 10,000/- in the bank account of the petitioner today towards arrears of maintenance if any. He submits that he will deposit a further amount of Rs. 20,000/- on 7th July 2024. The aforesaid statement is accepted as an undertaking to this Court. It is clarified that the said amount is without prejudice to the rights and Page no. 1 of 2

Both the learned counsels on instructions submit that they are agreeable to explore the possibility of an amicable settlement. They therefore request to refer the parties for mediation. By consent, Justice Pushpa V. Ganediwala (Retired) is appointed as a Mediator. Learned counsel for the petitioner shall intimate this order alongwith necessary papers to the learned Mediator.

The respondent shall bear the cost towards mediation. Learned Mediator is at liberty to issue necessary directions with regard to the cost towards the mediation.

It is clarified that irrespective of the aforesaid amount, the respondent shall continue to pay the maintenance as per the order passed by this Court. Parties are at liberty to share their respective calculations regarding payment of maintenance and arrears if any. 5.
Stand over to 26th July 2024. To be listed under the caption for 'settlement'.
