Civil Application has been preferred seeking condonation of delay of 244 days caused in preferring the Appeal. 2.

Office noting indicates that Respondents are duly served. Today, none appears for the Respondents.

Learned AGP submits that judgment and award was passed on 7th October 2021 during the Covid pandemic and thereafter proposal was forwarded by the District Government Pleader to the Law and Judiciary Department for approval, which was received only on 1st August 2022 and therefore there is delay of 244 days in preferring Appeal. 4.

There is no reply filed to the Application opposing the Patil-SR 1 of

78 ia 10516-24.doc condonation of delay.

It is specific pleading in the Application that proposal was forwarded to the Law and Judiciary Department on 24th December 2021 and approval was received on 20th July 2022. During that period, country was under nationwide lock-down due to covid pandemic and therefore delay has been sufficiently explained. Resultantly, interim Application is allowed.
