Interim Application has been preferred seeking condonation of delay of 219 days caused in preferring Appeal. 2.

Office noting indicates that the sole Respondent is duly served. None appears for the sole Respondent.

Learned AGP has taken this Court through the pleadings in Application and would submit that detailed explanation has been given in paragraph 3. He submits that the impugned judgment and award came to be passed on 30th September 2021 during the second phase of covid, by reason of which timely steps could not be taken for the purpose of filing Appeal.

Perusal of the Application would indicate that approval from Law Patil-SR 1 of

62 Ia-10524-2024.doc and Judiciary Department for filing Appeal was received on 1st August 2022 and thereafter First Appeal came to be filed. 5.

It also cannot be disputed that impugned judgment and award was passed during the second phase of covid pandemic and the Hon'ble Apex Court has extended the period of limitation. 6.

Reasons given in the Application are sufficient to condone the delay of 219 days and hence the same is condoned. Interim Application stands disposed of.
