The case of the prosecution is that the Petitioner herein, Megha 1/2
17_wp_120_2024.doc who was employed as an assistant office superintendent with BSNL had submitted false caste certificate, which has been invalidated by the Caste Scrutiny Committee.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner has drawn our attention to order dated 03/07/2023 passed by the coordinate Bench of this Court whereby the judgment of the Caste Scrutiny Committee was set aside and the matter was remanded to the Scrutiny Committee to conduct fresh vigilance cell inquiry to determine the veracity of the additional document produced by the Petitioner herein. It is stated that the matter is still pending before the Caste Scrutiny Committee.

Under the circumstances, though the investigation shall continue, the charge-sheet shall not be filed till the next date of hearing without prior permission of the Court. 6.
