Vide order dated 29th April, 2024, we had directed the Joint Commissioner of Police, EOW, Mumbai, to remain present today i.e. on 30th April, 2024, after making certain observations in para 3 of the said order.

We are informed that the Joint Commissioner of Police, EOW, Mumbai is in personal difficulty today and is unable to remain present. However, Mr. Sangram Singh Nishandar, DCP, EOW, Mumbai, is present before us.

Mr. Venegavkar, on instructions, states that the proposal has been forwarded by the Collector to the State Government, yesterday. He states that the State Government will take appropriate steps for issuance of necessary notification as contemplated under the MPID Act.

Stand over to 18th June, 2024.

We expect that the steps will be taken before the said date, so that the purpose and mandate of the MPID Act is achieved. MANJUSHA DESHPANDE, J.
