DATED : 11th NOVEMBER, 2025 P.C. :- 1) The Criminal Writ Petition filed by the Petitioner, the mother of one Shivkumar Gangadharrao Lashkare, who went missing in the year 2016 pursuant to which a missing report was registered in Yellow Gate Police Station, Mumbai and pursuant to the missing report being registered with Yellow Gate Police Station, on the search not yielding any result, the Petition came to be filed for tracing her son.

From time to time, various steps have been taken to trace the missing person and this fact is not disputed by the Petitioner. 2) We are informed that the Home Department have issued directions for constituting missing cell in each Police Station to be headed by 1/2

Despite serious attempts being made to trace the son of the Petitioner who could not be found but we are informed by the learned APP that the missing cell attached to Yellow Gate Police Station is continuing with its efforts and will continue its effort to trace the son of the Petitioner. 3) With the aforesaid statement being recorded, we dispose of the Petition with liberty to the Petitioner to establish contact with the missing cell attached to the Yellow Gate Police Station, Mumbai and we hope and trust that the cell continues with its effort to trace the son of the Petitioner.
