Learned APP states that the police will take steps to issue passport provided all documents as sought for are produced by the persons applying for the passport, within 14 days from the date the application is received from the Passport Authorities. She seeks time to file an affidavit-in-reply, placing the same on record, as to how the said N. S. Chitnis 1/2
20-wp.6261.2024.doc information will be made available to the citizens. She further states that steps will be taken to give a contact number, on which grievances can be made by the persons concerned, in the event, the police unnecessarily harass the persons seeking the passport. 2.
The said affidavit-in-reply to be filed in the Registry within three weeks from today and advance copy be served on the other side.
