CORAM

: AMIT BORKAR, J.

DATED : SEPTEMBER 23, 2025 P.C.:

1.

On perusal of the record, it is clear that the present revision application does not set out challenge to any specific judicial or quasi-judicial order. The scope of revisional jurisdiction under Section 397 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is confined to examination of correctness, legality, or propriety of an order passed by a subordinate Court. Unless there is a definite order against which the grievance is raised, the revisional powers cannot be invoked.

2.

In the present case, the applicant has not identified any such order. The grounds raised are general in nature and do not correspond to a concrete judicial determination capable of being tested in revision. The law is settled that a revision cannot lie in abstract; it must be directed against a particular order which

3.

In absence of such foundation, the revision application suffers from inherent defect of maintainability. This Court cannot exercise revisional powers in vacuum or against unspecified action. Therefore, the revision application is not maintainable and is accordingly dismissed.
