At the outset, Mr. Dnyanesh Patil, learned Counsel for the Applicant states that an Appeal is maintainable under Section 14A of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 ("the said Act") and therefore, he seeks leave to convert the Criminal Bail Application into a Criminal Appeal. 2.

Accordingly, the Applicant is granted leave to convert the Criminal Bail Application into a Criminal Appeal under Section 14A of the said Act. Amendment be carried out within a period of two weeks from today.
