This is a Petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking an extension of mandate of the arbitral tribunal for a period of one year.

Ms. Shraddha Jadhav, Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent does not oppose an extension of time. 3.

Mr. Purohit, Learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner submits that an extension of time has been sought for since parties Mugdha

2 907-ARBP 291-24.doc are now closed to arrive at a settlement and file consent terms before the Tribunal.

Hence, I find that sufficient cause to grant an extension of time has been made out. However, I make it clear that the same shall be the last extension of time after which no further time shall be granted. The captioned Arbitration Petition is thus allowed in terms of prayer clause (a), which reads thus:

"i) that this Honble Court be pleased to extend the mandate of Hon'ble Mr. Gautam Ankhad as the Sole Arbitrator for a period of one year commencing from 29th March, 2023 or such other period as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper;"

The Arbitration Petition is thus disposed of accordingly. 6.

It is made clear that the time shall commence from the date on which a copy of this order is uploaded.
