The learned Government Advocate has placed before us a communication received by her from the Under Secretary of the Minority Development Department, State of Maharashtra, informing that the procedure for effecting appointment on the Waqf Tribunal is in process, and though the letter state that the Court shall be apprised of the progress of the steps taken, we do not have any inputs in that regard. We direct the learned AGP to specify the timeline and the stage at which the procedure for appointment of the Member is, as on date. We expect clear instructions from the Department as to within what period of time the appointment of the Member shall be effected.
