A Grievances Committee constituted under Section 79 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 is headed by a retired Judge of the rank of Principal District Judge. Respondent No. 4 is no longer the member of such a Committee, since she has recused, considering that the dispute raised by the present Petitioner is with reference to the confirmation of Respondent No. 4, as well as Respondent No. 3.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits on instructions that since neither Respondent No. 3, nor Respondent No. 4 are members of the committee, the Petitioner has faith in the Presiding Officer, who is a retired Judge of the rank of Principal District Judge.

In view of the above, this Petition is disposed off with consent, on the following conditions :- a.

Since the Petitioner has tendered a proforma grievance before the Committee, liberty to tender a detailed narration before the said Committee, within 7 days from today.

b.

All the contesting parties would appear before the said Grievances Committee on 26th September, 2025 at 11.30 a.m. c.

All the parties are at liberty to submit their written notes. d.

Let the hearing be completed within 10 days as per the convenience of the Tribunal. Since written submissions are permitted, we request the Grievances Committee to deliver a final verdict in this matter, on or before 30th October, 2025.

All contentions of the parties are kept open and it be noted that this Court has not made any observations on the merits of the claims of the parties.
