Learned Counsel Mr. Mistry reports that the Petitioner has since expired.

From the records we find that this Petition was instituted because, according to the late Petitioner, there was no compliance with the directions issued by this Court in the order dated 24th April 2024 in Writ Petition No.2798 of 2018. The direction was to the Municipal Corporation to take action, if there was any 19th June 2024

(32) CONPW-31.24.DOCX unauthorized hawkers who are creating nuisance to the public and hindrance to the vehicular traffic in accordance with law. 3.

Considering the directions issued, there is no reason to dispose of this Petition. Even though the Petitioner may have unfortunately expired.

Learned Counsel Mr. Mistry agrees to furnish a copy of this Petition to Ms. Tondwalkar, learned counsel for the MCGM by today.

Some responsible officials of the MCGM must file an Affidavit on the status of compliance with our directions in the order 24th April 2023 in Writ Petition No.2798 of 2018. Such an affidavit along with photographs must be filed by 3rd July 2024. 6.

At our request, learned counsel Mr. Mistry has agreed to appear as amicus and assist the Court in this matter. 7.

Stand over to 3rd July 2024.
