Heard learned counsel for the parties.

It is submitted that the representation dated 19th July 2024 made by the Petitioner to the Additional Collector is pending for a long time. It is the contention of learned counsel for the Petitioner that the Petitioner's land has been acquired. It is submitted that it is the Petitioner who is entitled to the compensation, but the Petitioner apprehends that the original owner taking disadvantage of his name which is there in 7/12 extract which continues even after the sale deed, may claim compensation.

We therefore direct the Additional Collector to decide the representation dated 19th July 2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law, if not already decided, as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of three months from today. The decision on the representation may be communicated to the Petitioner. It is open for the Petitioner to take consequent steps pursuant to any decision taken on such representation. All contentions are kept open.
