The learned Division Bench at Aurangabad Bench has rendered an opinion in Writ Petition No.36 of 2023 in the case of Jagdish Pitambar Pawar vs. Pitamber Pundlik Pawar & Ors. that an appeal even at the behest of respondent under the provisions of 16 of The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 would be maintainable, in view of which the petitioner is relegated to appellate remedy.
