The main prayer sought in the present Petition is for decision in RAE Suit No.1427 of 2010 in a time bound period. It appears that by order dated 7 June 2024 passed by the Apex Court, hearing of RAE Suit No.965/1427 of 2010 has already been expedited. In that view of the matter, prayer clause (a) in the Petition no longer survives. So far as prayer clause (b) is concerned, direction is sought for completion of cross-examination of Petitioner's witness in a time bound period. In my view, since the Apex Court has already directed that the hearing of the suit is expedited, it is for the Trial Court to regulate conduct of trial.
