Learned counsel for the petitioner-husband on instructions of the petitioner who is present in the court states that he is agreeable to explore the possibility of settlement.

Learned counsel for the respondent-wife submits on instructions that respondent is also agreeable to explore the Page no. 1 of 2

13-wp-1879-2024.doc possibility of settlement. However, he submits that the arrears towards the interim maintenance are to the tune of Rs.1,37,000/-. He, therefore, submits that the petitioner be directed to clear the arrears of maintenance. Learned counsel for the petitioner-husband on instructions of the petitioner further states that he shall pay the arrears amount within one week from today by transferring the amount to the respondent in her bank account. Statement accepted. 3.

Since, the parties are exploring the possibility of settlement they are at liberty to make an appropriate application before the Trial Court seeking an adjournment. If the application is made the Trial Court to consider the same in view of the parties making an attempt to explore the possibility of settlement and grant the convenient date.
