P. C. :

The aforesaid petition has been placed before us pursuant to the administrative order passed by the Hon'ble the Chief Justice on 13th August, 2024. In view of the administrative order, Mr. Jha mentioned the matter at 4:30 p.m. yesterday, pursuant to which, we granted circulation for today.

It appears that the petition is pending in this Court since February, 2024, for about six months. The last order was passed by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court (Coram: K. R. SHRIRAM & JITENDRA JAIN, JJ.) on 12th August, 2024. The same reads thus: "1.

Not on board. Upon mentioning taken on board.

2.

Mr. Jha is insisting the Court to take up the matter urgently though it is scheduled to be listed on 16th August, 2024. Since the court is preoccupied with other work, petitioner may move the Hon'ble The Chief Justice on the administrative side to assign the matter to another bench."

Rekha Patil 2/3

The matter was scheduled to be listed on 16th August, 2024, despite the same, the learned Counsel moved a praecipe before the Hon'ble the Chief Justice, for listing it before another bench. We do not find any urgency to hear the petition today, particularly, when we are hearing matters relating to the liberty of the individuals i.e. bails, confirmation cases and appeals where the accused are in jail for more than ten years.

Since, there is no urgency, list the petition on 28th August, 2024.
