A complaint bearing no.5255 is said to be pending before the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum. A direction is sought that the same be decided within a stipulated period.

After hearing the learned advocates for the respective sides, we need to record that the amount sought to be recovered from the Petitioner is Rs.13,04,148.35/-. The Petitioner is also seeking protection and agrees to address the authority who will deal with the application. 3.

Keeping in view the law laid down in M/s Shewalkar Developers Ltd. Vs. Rupee Co-operative Bank Ltd.; 2016 (1), Mh. LJ. 382, we direct the

( 2 ) 948 wp 2580.24 Petitioner to deposit 50% of the assessed amount for the concerned period, in view of the impugned order dated 17.02.2024. The said amount shall be deposited on or before 31.03.2024 with the concerned authority. On the condition of depositing the said amount, further coercive steps only with regard to the Writ issue of payment of electricity charges for the month of December2023, shall not be initiated until the said proceedings are decided by the concerned Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum. 4.
