CORAM

: AMIT BORKAR, J.

DATED : MARCH 20, 2025 P.C.:

1.

Challenge in this writ petition arises out of proceedings under Section 88B of the Maharashtra Tenancy and Agricultural Lands Act, 1948. The Maharashtra Revenue Tribunal, by the impugned judgment and order, has remanded the proceedings back to the Tehsildar by observing that certain relevant aspects in relation to inquiry under Section 88B have not been properly considered by the Authorities.

2.

Considering the reasons assigned in the judgment, in my opinion, no interference in the impugned order is called for.

3-wp3101-2025.doc 3.

However, considering the fact that the application under Section 88B was made in the year 2002, the Collector, Satara shall ensure that the inquiry under Section 88B is complete within six months from the date of appearance of the petitioner. 4.

The petitioner shall appear before the Collector, Satara, on 1 April 2025 at 10.30 a.m.

5.

The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs. (AMIT BORKAR, J.)
