The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the respondent no.1 has been reinstated and that part of the order of the University and College Tribunal dated 13.12.2023 stands complied with. Insofar as the directions for back wages, it is contended that after deducting Rs.6,74,424 , the directions were to make payment of the balance amount from 1.1.2015 to 5.12.2020 after deducting the aforesaid payment. According to the learned counsel for the petitioners, what is payable is the amount of Rs 25,23,435/-, as against which learned counsel for VAI

14-WP-3496-2024.doc the respondent no.1 has submitted the statement of calculation which says that the amount due and payable is Rs.51.00 lakhs and odd. The petitioners to deposit the amount of Rs.25,23,435/- in this Court by 9.7.2024.
