Mr. S. D. Ghayal, Additional Government Pleader submits that the petitioner is disqualified under the provisions of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act, 1959, in relation to the election conducted in January 2021. The Additional Government Pleader further submits that the term of the Village Panchayat has since expired.
