CORAM : A.S. CHANDURKAR & RAJESH S. PATIL, JJ DATE : 3rd JULY, 2024 P.C. :- The petitioners are aggrieved by the mutation entries that have been taken bearing nos. 9434 and 9593. In that context, the petitioners have addressed a communication to the Talathi on 21st December, 2023. They seek various documents on the basis of which such entries are made.

We find that the grievance of the petitioners is with regard to the manner in which the mutation entries in question have

KVM 2/2 9 - WP 3599 OF 2024.doc been taken. In our view, a remedy under Chapter X of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 is available to the petitioners. In that view of the matter, the following directions will serve the ends of justice :-

(1) The Talathi - the respondent no.1 shall, within a period of four weeks of receiving a copy of this order, reply to the communication dated 21st December, 2023 addressed to him by the petitioners.

(2) The petitioners are free to take steps under the Code for having the mutation entries corrected in accordance with law.

(3) Keeping all points on merit open, the writ petition is disposed of.
