The only prayer made by the petitioners in the present writ petition is for a direction to consider the stay application preferred by the petitioners in the revision application preferred under Section 257 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 on 07/03/2024. The learned counsel for the petitioners invites attention to a Circular dated 07/08/2023 indicating the modality to be followed when proceedings under the Code are to be decided. 2.

Considering the limited request as made, the following directions would serve the ends of justice:

i) The stay application preferred by the petitioners shall be decided by the respondent no.1 on its own 1/2

38-WP-5136-24.doc Rameshwar Dilwale merit and in accordance with law after hearing all parties within a period of three weeks of receiving copy of this order. Till the said application is decided, the order impugned in the revision application shall not be implemented.

ii) Within a further period of twelve weeks, the revision application shall be decided on its own merit and in accordance with law.

Keeping all points raised open, the writ petition is disposed of.
