The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner tendered draft amendment to the above Writ Petition. The same is marked 'X' for identification. By this amendment, the Petitioner seeks to delete the State of Maharashtra as Respondent No.1, and instead, add (i) Pune, Municipal Corporation as Respondent No.1; (ii) the Ward Officer, Hadapsar Ward, Pune as Respondent No.2; and (iii) the Medical Officer and Registrar of Marriage as Respondent No.3.

Considering that this is a pre-admission amendment, the Petitioner is permitted to amend the above Petition, as per the draft tendered and marked 'X' for identification. The amendment shall be carried out within a period of one week from today and the amended copy of the Petition shall be served on all the newly added Respondents. 3.

Once the amendment is carried out, the registry is directed to issue notice to the newly added Respondents returnable on 16th August 2024. 4.

Stand over to 16th August 2024.
