In this writ petition, the petitioner, inter alia, seeks a direction to the Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank (respondent no. 3) to grant the benefit of One Time Settlement Scheme-2012 (OTS), which has been floated by the bank based on the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had submitted an OTS proposal in the year 2013, however, till today, no decision on the aforesaid OTS proposal has been communicated to the petitioner.

On the other hand, learned counsel for the respondent/bank submits that in case the decision has not already been taken, the same shall be taken and it will be communicated to the petitioner within a period of four weeks. 4.

In view of the aforesaid submission and in the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent/bank to take a decision on the OTS proposal submitted by the petitioner, if not already taken and to communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of four weeks.

Needless to state that in case the decision has already been taken and the same has not been communicated to the petitioner, the same shall also be communicated to the petitioner within the same time.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits of the case.
