The petitioner apprehends coercive steps would be taken pursuant to the notice dated 18th April 2024 issued by the Tahsildar pursuant to his order dated 6th February 2024 passed in proceedings under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966. The petitioner's appeal against that order is pending before the Sub-Divisional Officer. 2.

Issue notice, returnable on 19th June 2024. Subject to the petitioner depositing an amount of Rs.80 lakhs within a period of three weeks from today with the Tahsildar, no coercive steps shall be taken to enforce the demand.

In the meanwhile, it is open for respondent no.2 to consider the petitioner's application for renewal of lease notwithstanding the order dated 6th February 2024.
