Learned advocate for the petitioner, on instructions, states that the petitioner is ready to deposit 50% of the amount as contemplated under Section 7-O of the Employees Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. The statement is accepted.

Hence, on deposit of 50% of the amount as per Section 7-O of the Act, there shall be ad-interim relief in terms of prayer clause (c).

The amount shall be deposited within four weeks from today.

It is made clear that pendency of this writ petition shall not preclude the Appellate Authority from deciding the appeal filed by the petitioner.
