The application filed by the petitioner under Section 14 of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act 2002, (for short, 'Act of 2002') on 7th May 2023 is stated to be pending without any adjudication. We have perused the writ petition and the documents filed on record. In the light of the scheme under Section 14 of the Act of 2002, an application filed under said provisions is required to be decided within the time frame as mentioned. Considering the fact that the period of more than 18 months have since elapsed, it is directed that the application filed under Section 14 shall be decided within a period of six weeks of the next date of the proceedings before the respondent no.2.
