Learned counsel for the Petitioner took us through the report annexed to the Petition on the health of the foetus. He submitted that the two primary grounds in the Petition are the social stigma and potential trauma of the Petitioner.

The report annexed to the Petition is the report by a private doctor and also does not deal with the emotional and mental health 1/2

501-WP-7745-2024.doc of the potential mother. For completeness, it is directed that the Medical Board be asked to file a report after examining the Petitioner.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner shall submit herself for examination tomorrow before the Medical Board at Sassoon Hospital, Pune. It is requested that the report be submitted to this Court for further consideration on 29th May 2024.
