A challenge is to the order passed by the Family Court granting interim maintenance to the divorcee wife. By issuing notice, this Court has made it clear that there is no stay to the maintenance order passed by the Family Court.

Learned Counsel Mr. Bhapkar, appearing for the Respondent, submits that although there is an order directing payment of interim maintenance from the date of the application, the Petitioner has failed to comply with the said order till date. He therefore states that the matter requires urgent hearing, as the Petitioner, taking advantage of the pendency of the Writ Petition, is not paying any maintenance to the Respondent/wife."

Since Mr. Chavan, Counsel for the Petitioner is absent, by way of last chance, the matter is adjourned to 10.10.2025. 5 .

It is made clear that if nobody appears on behalf of the Petitioner on the next date, the matter would be disposed of on merits.
